Chris Jeeves and Darren Holes have achieved remarkable success at their GCSE exams this summer. The two boys were amongst the first from Brighton to be matched with befrienders by Fun in Action. Chris has been befriended for nearly 6 years and Darren for nearly 5. Fun in Action almost always finds that behaviour and attitude at school improves as a result of a new stable friendship in a young person's life and Chris and Darren have proved this to be so! Chris achieved 1 A*, 2 As, 3 Bs and 2 C grades. Darren achieved 2 As, 4 Bs and 2 Cs.
Both are now off to take 'A' level courses at BASVIC. Needless to say parents, befrienders and all at Fun in Action are extremely proud of them and wish them well for this next stage in their lives.
This picture below shows Chris with his befriender Ralph meeting David Blunkett at a recent Labour fringe event.
