The team at Capital International IT Staffing, of Burgess Hill, Mid-Sussex, is turning its hand to recruiting for funds, on behalf of Brighton based FUN in Action for Children. The company has made a commitment to partner with the charity over the next few years, and the team is looking forward to helping make a real difference in the local community.

Chief Executive, Nick Butcher explains, "We chose to work with FUN because we were really impressed with their work in supporting families in the Sussex area, and as the charity is still quite small, we felt our efforts, from the grand to the everyday, would really count.

I’ve just got back from the cycling in the Etape du Tour in France which raised over £2000 in sponsorship, and we’ve also introduced a regular paid for ‘dress-down Friday’. Staff have even pledged to donate percentages of their commission, which speaks volumes about their belief in the cause."

It costs approx £1700 per year to fund a friendship. Capital International have already raised enough to cover the costs of one befriender and are hopeful that they can now push on for a second.  Aside from the training and recruiting process, money is needed every week, to cover expenses for regular outings, including cinema trips, swimming and travel for beach or library visits.

Derek Hayes, Volunteer from FUN said, "Capital International is the perfect match for FUN, and we’re delighted they are working with us as we aim to increase the number of families we help. Local companies can really add value to our efforts, whether it’s fundraising from a once-in-a-lifetime challenge, to face-painting at one of our children’s parties, and we are always keen to hear from people who would like to get involved."
