Our annual Christmas Party on Sunday December 3rd in Woodingdean went with a bang this year with the help of some special furry friends, including a not so furry porcupine!
At 1pm our guests arrived, all 115 of them including 54 children, 24 parents and numerous befrienders and helpers. Fish and Chips from the seafront were the order of the day and the Mayor and his wife dropped by for a chat and to share our lunch! We're most grateful to Bill and Heather for their support, and to Tony Mould for his super photos!
Animal Magic set up and thrilled us all, children and adults alike, with their amazing animal display. We got to see a fluffy skunk eating his meal worms, a beautiful owl, a cute Chihuahua and the star of the show, a wonderful porcupine!
Then it was time for Santa to make his annual appearance along with his two friendly elves, all to make sure that 54 children went home happy with a special gift to remember the occasion by!
We'd like to thank everyone who helped out and ensured that the day was such a success. Here's a message we got from a grateful mum which we wanted to share, "The fish and chips were delicious and the girls loved seeing the animals again, they simply loved their wonderful gifts and didn't stop talking about them all the way home."
