AddressSpring Barn Farm, AgesAll. Cost£12.50 for an adult and a child, but worth it if it's a nice day as there is plenty to do, both inside and out. Facilities:The cafe sells good food and drinks, plus little bags of food for the animal, and there is a small selection of toys and gifts. There is a huge indoor area with lots of enclosures housing chipmunks, rabbits, hamsters, budgies, chicks etc, and a room full of haybales. Outside there are more animals, playground, go-kart track, lambs in a barn in the spring and a huge maize maze in the late summer. Plus they lay on other events during the year. How to get there:They are on the Kingston Road, Lewes. Take the A27 to the Kingston Roundabout & exit for Kingston village. Drive through the village to the T-Junction (opposite Wyevale garden centre) & turn left, they are 500 yards further on the left. From Seaford, Newhaven come up the C7 road through Piddinghoe & Rodmell until you see Wyevale Graden Centre on the right, they are 500 yards further on the left. Extra Info:Spring Barn Farm Park was first opened to the public in 2002, offering a maize maze attraction between July and September. Since then, they have steadily grown to include large indoor and outdoor play areas, a wide variety of farm and domestic animals for children to meet, as well as the increasingly popular Farm house Kitchen. They are now open seven days a week, attracting more and more visitors each year and cater for regular school and group visits. Befrienders rating:( 1 Vote ) Comments (1)Probably Brighton's best local children's farm
Slightly on the pricey side but the befriender allowance will just about cover a trip here. Lots to do for younger children and there's a real feeling of space which you don't quite get at Middle Farm. Children enjoy feeding the various animals and the Go Karts, trampoline and Maize Maze are all fun too. Don't forget to explore the large barn where children get to pet various animals (poor things!)and there's some haybales to play around on too. Pleasant cafe serving home-made food as well.
