Extra Info:This shop has made a great success of running 'paint-your-own' pottery workshops. Describing itself as the coolest kilning company, it provides instruction so you can personalise ceramic pieces as gifts or simply for your own enjoyment. Its late opening hours a few evenings a week encourage you to bring a bottle to the evening sessions. The weekend clientele, however, are more likely to bring milkshakes than wine. You can usually just pop in and have a go, but booking is advisable at weekends. Befrienders rating:( 1 Vote ) Comments (1)Good for encouraging creative types
This is quite a fun option for creating a present for a sibling or parent, particularly for younger children. If they're not too busy you can count on quite a bit of help from the friendly assistants too. You can take up to an hour painting your mug, cup, plate or whatever, with costs around the £10 mark overall. Be aware though, that it takes a while to fire and glaze so you have to go back a few days later to pick it up!
