How to get there:

Road: Hever Castle is situated three miles South East of Edenbridge off the B2026 between Sevenoaks and East Grinstead in the village of Hever.
Rail: Trains run from London Victoria and London Bridge (via Oxted or East Croydon) to Edenbridge Town Station, and then take a taxi for three miles to the castle.

Hever Castle is an important historic castle on the English landscape, once the family home of one of England’s most famous Queens – Anne Boleyn, the intriguing second wife of Henry VIII and mother of Elizabeth I.
The castle is a romantic double moated 13th century castle which houses historic 16th century portraits, paintings, furniture, tapestries and treasures. This year we have acquired a rare 16th century portrait of Catherine Howard, the 5th wife of Henry VIII and recently unveiled by the eminent historian and television presenter Dr David Starkey. The portrait now hangs in the Long Gallery alongside a temporary exhibition ‘Losing Your Head Over Henry’.
