Recent research undertaken by our management team has revealed the outstanding impact that befriending has on children from disadvantaged lone-parent families in Brighton. The report also revealed that 82% of children felt they were more confident and better able to tackle problems, and 2/3rds thought they were doing better in school. Fun Chief Executive, Anne Mclaren, welcomed the report's findings and said that befrienders can, "set back on track the normal process of the child's development, which has been derailed by failures in the child's environment."
