As part of its evaluation process Fun in Action is always keen to hear how we impact the lives of the children we befriend and of their parents, too. Here are some of the comments we’ve received from parents: “My child is more sociable, talks more, goes out more, and has better manners since having a befriender” “She is a happier more confident child through having a befriender” “It has helped my daughter and me with the racist bullying at school” “His behavioural problems have diminished and he is less aggressive” “He has more belief in himself and is proud of his achievements” And here are some from the children…. “Now I have a befriender I can enjoy my life” “School is not so frustrating” “I am doing good in school. I used to be naughty but now I am good”
