 Volunteer with Fun in Action
We need trustworthy & reliable adults with a mature outlook who are kind, playful & generous of spirit to befriend children for 3-4 hours a week for 2 years.
When times are tough we all need a friend. By giving regular one to one time our volunteers help children grow in confidence and deal with adversity. Befriending a troubled child can be challenging, but it can also be immensely satisfying and great fun too!
Our commitment to child safety means you will undergo a full professional appraisal and Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure before being accepted. We provide full preparatory training & support. We work in close partnership with parents at all times. Befrienders are aged 23+ and have no caring responsibilities for children under 11.
